About Our Camps
Welcome to Spectrum Skateboard Society! Safe, fun, and inclusive skateboard camps for Autistic children and youth.
We welcome neurodivergent children and youth 6-17 years old.
All lessons are developed by Blair Durnan, Therapeutic Recreation Practitioner, skater, and parent. We will play games that utilize the skateboard to get students comfortable with being on a skateboard as well as socializing with the other students. Students can expect to learn proper stance, pushing, safety techniques, skatepark etiquette, basic skateboard maneuvers, while improving social and positive communication skills.
We meet every skater where they are at with skateboard ability as well as being in a group setting. We make sure that everyone is made to feel comfortable, safe and we make it our mission to make sure that every skater is included.
